According to research, when people get under stress, the body releases a stress hormone called cortisol. This stress hormone also releases a false trigger in the brain that causes you to get hungry. One of the best ways to avoid overeating is to plan your meals in advanced and keep them balanced so you can get satisfied. Plus, you need to eat on a regular schedule so you won’t get hungry too soon.

Another way to gain composure with yourself is by listening to soft, calming music. Or perhaps you can read a good book.
