The biggest problem for those who want to lose weight is when they get that unsuspecting craving for something to eat. This craving could be physiological, psychological, or it could be simply a food addiction. But no matter what, when you crave something you want it. There are ways you can control cravings and not have the urge to indulge. Some of these ways are:
1 By not dieting. Some people have the tendency to think that if they diet they are depriving themselves of the foods they like. So this causes their brains to trick them into thinking food. Instead of doing this to yourself, think of healthy ways of eating. Pick up an apple the next time you crave something. You’ll be better off.
2 Usually when you crave a certain food, all you want is a taste of it. For example, if you like carrot cake, by eating a carrot, that will often satisfy your hunger for the carrot and you won’t go beyond that.
3 Create a diversion. If you are use to eating a certain food by a certain time, instead of reaching for that food, do something else with your time. Keep reaching for something else to do. Before long you will forget all about your cravings and won’t pursue it anymore.
