Walking Your Weight off
Are you tired of looking at yourself in the mirror? Tired of seeing those love handles or beer bellies? Tired of getting winded when climbing a flight of stairs? If so, what better way to lose weight and get in shape at the same time than with walking? Walking happens to be a natural way to exercise because it involves nearly every body movement.
The muscles get a consistent workout without fear of injury. Of course, those who are overweight will find walking to be harder than for those at normal weight. But the payoff will be enormous.
Walking is actually the best known form of exercise because the majority of people do it everyday. You don’t have to look very far to find someone walking somewhere. You will benefit greatly from walking. As a matter of fact the American Heart Association even stated that walking helped to condition the heart and lungs.
Walking may be beneficial, but how long do you need to walk for it to have any effect? The recommended time is about 30 to 60 minutes. This allows the muscles to get a good workout and it helps get the heart rate up. You also need to do it three to four times in a week.
There is no doubt that walking does help you lose weight. As long as you start it, get on a regular schedule of doing it, and stay consistent, you should see yourself getting in better shape, but also losing those inches you want to get rid of.
